Learning about the UN Women’s Gender Concepts 1, 2, and 3 frameworks gave me a straightforward way to understand and address gender issues. Concept 1 was all about the basics—recognizing how gender inequality affects access to resources and opportunities. It helped me see just how deeply these issues are woven into everyday life. Concept 2 moved toward action, showing how policies and programs can be designed to respond to specific gender needs. This approach taught me that targeted changes can make a big difference for women and marginalized groups. Finally, Concept 3 was about transforming the root causes of inequality, aiming to shift the systems and structures that hold people back. Going through these levels really helped me think about gender equality more practically and gave me tools to push for real, lasting change.
