The Project Management: The Basics for Success course from the UCI Division of Continuing Education provided me with a comprehensive foundation in project management principles and best practices. I learned about the key phases of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, along with tools and techniques for effective team collaboration and resource allocation. This knowledge has been particularly valuable in my work in Nepal, where managing community-based projects often involves coordinating multiple stakeholders and resources. By applying the project management skills gained from this course, I feel more confident in leading initiatives focused on environmental sustainability and social equity. Understanding how to set clear goals, manage timelines, and adapt to challenges will ultimately help me drive successful outcomes in my projects and contribute to positive change in the communities I serve.
