In the Children’s Human Rights: An Interdisciplinary Introduction course from Université de Genève on Coursera, I gained a deeper understanding of the rights and protections every child deserves and the challenges many face worldwide. The course highlighted critical issues like access to education, health, and freedom from exploitation, which are essential for a child’s development and well-being. This was especially meaningful in the context of Nepal, where many children still lack access to quality education and healthcare, and where child labor and early marriage remain concerns in some regions. Learning about global frameworks and successful advocacy efforts inspired me to think about how we can better support children in Nepal. The course emphasized the importance of empowering young people and ensuring their rights are protected, reinforcing my commitment to making a difference for children in my community.
