Through the Greening the Economy: Sustainable Cities course by Lund University, I explored practical ways cities can shift toward sustainable growth—a concept that aligns closely with my background in environmental conservation. Covering everything from green infrastructure to resource-efficient urban planning, the course demonstrated how cities worldwide are adapting to meet ecological and social needs. This resonated strongly with the challenges Nepal faces as urban areas expand, often at the expense of natural resources and surrounding communities. Learning about successful community-led initiatives and green planning methods gave me fresh perspectives on how urban development in Nepal could embrace sustainability, fostering healthier connections between urban areas and the environment.
